Bench deck This beauty salon car park had repeated problems with clients hitting the retaining wall while manoeuvring and parking.  As a result the retaining wall was in various states of collapse along it's length, and the salon's owner was reluctant to spend money on it's repair without a permanent solution. The permanent solution we came up with was an 18" deep deck tied into the fence with sprung joints and a shock-absorbent facing panel, finished with 1/4" rubber.  The result has become an attractive feature which now holds mature shrubs in pots.  After 18 months, despite repeated impacts the bench and wall have suffered no damage and required no maintenance.
